![]() ![]() It’s hard to believe Respawn was founded to make something and get away from trends and they conform to two of the worst trends to hit modern gaming only after making 2 games. Apex isn’t bad but if there was an award for wasting people’s time and your own potential as a game dev it’s between Bethesda and Respawn. There’s plenty of reasons to be mad but it’s fine because the apex lore backseats off of lore that was never finished because the BR trend needed to be exploited. Years of them not caring for an FPS that was an actual 10/10, abandoning a fanbase begging for either more story or even the most minor of DLC, then taking everything from that 10/10 FPS dumbing it down removing the fun mechanics of their game engine, removing canon story events because they ran out of ideas for characters, spitting in the mouth of players, saying a game will be worked on for years then being called out in a literal lie to get more players for their low quality BR. It's a shame the apex lore hub is so horribly mismanaged and that apex itself is just awful at carrying over older canon lore/interactions, because a lot of people honestly have no clue about that arc. During that halloween event he also got some lines poking fun at him for trying to protect Ash from the reality of simulacra (Shadow rev says something along the lines of "What do you think you are? "The savior of simulacrums now?") In the third and final part to the comic series, it actually shows Revenant trying to stop Horizon from awaking ash's human conscience, even going so far as to say "welcome to hell, kid, I tried to stop it" when he fails to stop horizon from doing so. There is actually a season 10) comic, where horizon comes to revenant asking how he regained sentience and asks how to induce it in ash (help ash regain her former identity- horizon thinks it's her friend lilian peck, not knowing it's the one who betrayed her, ashleigh reid). The Lord of the Rings trilogy was so big in scale they often shot out of sequence, I seem to recall some of the actors mentioning similar challenges.įrom my perspective there are pros and cons either way, and it's up to the production teams to identify which process will meet their artistic AND financial needs best. There is a season 11, I wanna say (edit: season 10) comic, where horizon comes to revenant asking how he regained sentience and how to induce it in ash (help ash regain her former identity- horizon thinks it's her friend lilian peck, not knowing it's the one who betrayed her, ashleigh reid). In some behind the scenes interviews, actors sometimes mention the challenge of jumping into heavy scenes like that before getting a lot of time to be "in character". On the con side, there are situations where vital and meaningful scenes need to be filmed early in a films production. Shooting in sequence would be very difficult with this type of setup. Horribly mauled by a bear and left for dead, Glass is driven to survive by his desire for revenge against the man who left him and murdered his son. This allowed the filmmaker to design the interior exactly how they wanted, but also capture the character on location in other shots. Leonardo DiCaprio won the 2015 Best Actor Oscar (R) for his riveting performance as frontiersman Hugh Glass in this epic tale of survival. ![]() I'll use Leon (The Professional) as an example: Most of the interior shots were filmed in a studio in France, but exterior and hallway shots were filmed on location in New York. As I understand it, most films are made out of sequence.
